[Samples of earlier work] I explored bookmaking and image-making in the early to mid-1990s. These were often parallel activities involving static single images, sequential images, bookmaking, and early digital motion design. My position in the Graphic Design Department originally was based on teaching different ways to create and integrate imaging making into the curriculum. This allowed me to focus expressly on that as my creative activity. Before that, I worked with photography and created projects such as portable exhibition systems, publication design, posters, and other kinds of collateral for freelance and pro bono work.
